Why do I need Pozio?
Smart assistants are actively running inside of many devices in homes, offices and public spaces. They are listening 24/7 to their environment, waiting to respond to spoken commands. They are also recording at will, and it’s not possible to know whether they are listening, recording, or just standing by. These devices are connected to the internet, which means they are able to send voice and other data about their environment which you have no ability to control. When these devices hear their “wake word”, the full range of capabilities is unleashed—including sending your voice and other personal data outside your home and responding to remote commands without any further action on your part. Smart device manufacturers claim data is not recorded when on standby; however, GDPR data subject requests and documented data leaks show that some devices are known to monitor and/or record your voice without your command.
How do Pozio products work?
Pozio was designed and built by world-class cybersecurity experts, designers and engineers. We set out to create microphone blocking technology that prevents smart devices from listening, recording, interpreting and revealing information in your personal environment, including your voice and private interactions.
Pozio uses patented digital signal processing to prevent the microphones in smart devices from hearing anything in their surroundings, unless you allow them to.
Why should I choose Pozio over a privacy app to protect my smart devices?
Pozio provides a layer of protection that prevents sound from even being able to enter your device. This blocks not only your device but any app that you have given permission to use your microphone from being able to hear you.
Is my smart device compatible with Pozio?
All Cradle models will fit practically any smartphone and case, unless the case is really unusually large or bulky. Please note folding phones are not supported at this time. For Shield smart speaker compatibility, please visit the product page for a detailed compatibility list.
How do I set up my Pozio product?
Setting Pozio is easy.
1. Plug in your Pozio product.
2. Insert your smart device.
3. Pozio will automatically start blocking.
Does my Pozio device need a Wi-Fi or Internet connection?
Simply, no. Pozio does not connect to the internet at all, and doesn’t require the internet to perform its microphone blocking. This is one of the many ways we ensure your privacy is protected.
Does Pozio block my smart devices from connecting to the internet?
Absolutely not. Pozio doesn’t affect Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 4G or 5G cellular, or NFC (near-field communication) connections to the outside world. Your devices will continue to stay connected as always, they just won’t be able to hear anything in their surrounding environments when Pozio is blocking. This means your privacy is protected but all of your connectivity, phone calls, music streaming, Bluetooth devices and internet access are unaffected.
Are there any additional fees to use Pozio?
No. Pozio is a standalone device that is an all-in-one solution straight out of the box. There are no subscription fees, software updates or nothing to upgrade or maintain.
How does Pozio ensure my privacy is protected?
Pozio does not have storage so it is unable to record or store data. It also doesn’t connect to the internet or have NFC so it has no way of sending information to the cloud, other servers, or other nearby devices. It is simply a privacy tool that needs nothing except to be plugged into a power outlet to do its job.
Can my smart devices play music while inside Pozio products?
Yes, there is no need to worry about interference with outgoing audio on your smart devices. Pozio seamlessly works with your smart devices, and allows you to use your smart devices as intended.
How do I update my Pozio devices?
There is no need to update your Pozio, as the listening blocking technology is built in.

We currently ship to the USA and Canada.
Can I return or exchange an item?
If you’re looking to return or exchange your order for whatever reason, we're here to help! The following terms are our “Return Policy”. We offer returns or exchanges within 30 days of purchase. To be eligible for a return, your item must be undamaged, in the original packaging and in a resellable condition. To arrange a return please email support@pozio.com with your original order number and reason for the return. We will email you an RMA number and details on where to send the returned item. Pozio will not cover the cost of return shipping.
Once your item is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your return. If the returned item is in an acceptable condition, at your option, we will issue a store credit, ship a different product, or issue a refund to the original payment method. Please note that refunds can take up to two weeks to appear on your statement.
Shipping costs are non-refundable. When returning an item over $75, consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We can't guarantee that we will receive your returned item, and are unable to refund returned orders which we don't not receive.
When will my order ship?
Due to global supply chain issues we are experiencing longer than average delays. If you place an order we will notify by email or text (the preferred method you selected at checkout) when your order is ready to be shipped.
How much is shipping?
Pozio currently offers shipping for US orders at $15 USD per unit, and in Canada at $15 CAD per unit.
What is your warranty?
Our warranty obligations for the Pozio device you purchased (the “Product”) are limited to the terms set forth below (the “Limited Warranty”). Pozio Privacy Innovations Inc. (“Pozio”) warrants the Product against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase (the “Warranty Period”). If a defect arises and a valid claim is received by Pozio within the Warranty Period, at its option, Pozio will repair the Product or exchange the Product with a functionally equivalent new or reconditioned product. Pozio warrants repaired Products and replacement products against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of the repair or replacement for ninety (90) days or, if longer, for the remainder of the Warranty Period. If the Product is exchanged, the replacement product becomes your property and the Product becomes Pozio property. When a refund is given, the returned Product becomes Pozio property.
This Limited Warranty:
is only valid in Canada or the United States;applies only to the original purchaser or end user of the Product;applies only to Products purchased from Pozio directly or through an authorised reseller, and does not apply to anything other than the Product (even if packaged or sold with the Product);applies only if the Product is used under normal use conditions (i.e., normal use under typical home conditions in accordance with the instructions provided with the Product or posted online);does not apply to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, or modification of the Product, to Products with missing or altered serial numbers or which had their housings opened or are otherwise tampered with, or to any deterioration of the cosmetic appearance of the Product due to normal wear and tear;does not guarantee that the Products will at all times operate without interruption or will be error-free, or that all errors may be corrected; anddoes not in any way restrict the rights that you may have under your local consumer protection laws.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, this Limited Warranty and its remedies are exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, remedies and conditions, whether oral or written, express or implied. Pozio specifically disclaims all implied warranties, including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
If Pozio cannot lawfully disclaim or exclude specific warranties under applicable law, then, to the extent possible, any claims under such warranties shall expire on expiration of the Warranty Period.
No Pozio employee, agent, or reseller is authorised to make any modification, extension, or addition to this Limited Warranty.
